Over the past four years, we’ve had the joy of selling wholesale flowers to a small group of florists in San Francisco and the Greater East Bay.
As the demand for locally grown flowers continued to grow, we found ourselves facing a challenge: our space was simply too small to keep up. Expanding physically wasn’t an option, so we turned to our close friends and fellow flower farmers for help. With their support, we started supplementing our crops, and things began to take off. Pretty soon, it became clear we needed a better way to make it all work.
In August 2023, five of us—like-minded farmers who share a passion for flowers—sat down together and started dreaming. What if we created a collective, run by farmers for farmers, with one simple goal: to get florists the flowers they truly want, in the best quality and the right quantities?
We run this collective through Rooted Farmers, an easy-to-use online ordering platform. It’s a fantastic option if you want access to all of our amazing local products with the convenience of a single delivery fee or pickup spot. Connect with the Golden Coast Flower Collective on Rooted—buyer profiles are free, but there is a review process that can take up to 72 hours to complete. Be sure to submit your application as soon as possible if you’d like to place an order!
When you order through the collective, you can choose Bay Area delivery or pick up directly from our members’ farms. For our East Bay customers, this means that by ordering through Rooted, you’ll also be able to shop from all the other farms in our collective and pick everything up right from our front porch!
